After months of civil engineering works, the Bosaso Link Bridge has officially opened to the public. The pedestrian and light-vehicle crossing connects two previously divided districts, cutting commute times and giving residents safer access across the channel it spans.
Anchor's civil engineering team led the site works and inspection for the project, working alongside local contractors to deliver the crossing on a compressed timeline ahead of the rainy season.
Built for the conditions
The design accounts for seasonal flooding and heavy foot traffic, with reinforced approach ramps and a deck engineered to carry pedestrians, motorbikes and light vehicles safely in all weather.
